Port Gardner Neighborhood in Everett

Port Gardner has many buildings registered on the historical protection list. Given that it starts on the south side of Hewitt Avenue and heads south east and west from there, from the Snohomish River all the way west to the Sound and Port Gardner Bay. Likewise with the Bayside neighborhood in Everett where my office Lang Law Everett is located. Riverside has its own historic buildings.

The west side of the neighborhood has breathtaking views of the Port Gardner Bay with a back drop of the magnificent Olympic Mountain Range. It is an awe inspiring view. Later, I will be adding pictures of the original structures still remaining in the east side of this neighborhood. There are still many at 100 years old or more that remain.

Large areas of the industrial area have been leveled to make way for storage facilities and larges stores like Lowes. Still, there are on the far east side there are banks, restaurants, and many old buildings in that area. It is almost like a small downtown area around that spot on Hewitt. Pacific now has very large hotels near the freeway, with all the old construction long since gone. There are also some really nice antique buildings with collectables and antiques in them in the neighborhood on Hewitt east of Broadway. Pictures to come, with some history on those buildings as well.

From the Snohomish County River to the Everett Naval base, there is a lot of interesting history, of hard work and sacrifice that built the great downtown of Everett.
